Five Dinner Plate Sets For New Year's Eve To Make Your Friends Jealous!

Yes, we know, it's not even Christmas yet and we're already thinking of New Year's Eve, but to be fair, it's only a couple of week's away and if you're like us, you will be avoiding going out to the big parties in the centre of town and opting for the more sophisticated affair of a dinner soiree at home with family and loved ones. How will you make this event extra special though? Apart from cooking up a storm hopefully, well we like to do it in traditional Space Shack style and opt for an incredible dinner table display. We certainly got some practice to do this last week when we had to dress Decorum's new product range in store, you can see behind-the-scenes here and later this week, our final shoot. In the meantime, it might be worth putting on your Christmas present list a few of these beautiful dinner plate sets which we're in love with right now.

1. Molosco Dinner Service by Laura Letinsky

Hand painted with an exquisite hand-painted gold trim dinner service dismisses the uniformed look and opts for various irregular shaped plates, the perfect icebreaker and talking point at the beginning of your party. Also comes in a striking ebony black variation and is available to buy at Artware.

2. Jonathan Adler's 1948° 5 Piece Dinner Set

I couldn't have a favourite dinner service list and not include Jonathan Adler's stunning gold splash set. Just cheeky enough to give your table a little character but retain some sophistication at the same time. Available to buy at Lulu and Georgia.

3. Yvonne Ellen's Animal Matching Plate Set

For animal lovers and for those who love something just a bit quirky. These matching plate sets from Yvonne Ellen are adorable. Animals in the bone china ceramic zoo collection include: a giraffe, a whale, a stag and a flamingo! Available to buy separately or together as a set via Etsy.

4. Ralph Lauren Clock Plates

If you literally want to countdown to the New Year as you eat, how about these striking (geddit?!) clock plates designed by Ralph Lauren. Unfortunately not available via the man's official site anymore these surely were only designed for New Year's Eve party use?! Their full tableware collection is available via the Ralph Lauren website.

5. Kelly Wearstler Tracery White on Black Set

Interior Designer extraordinaire Kelly Wearstler has produced a dinner plate service that presses all our geometric, monochromatic buttons! Simple, elegant and suitable for use all year round or for a special occasion like New Year. Available to buy at Pickard.
